Lyndsay Rossman is the director of business communications for the Jacksonville Jaguars. The senior-level public relations and marketing professional leads the corporate communication strategy for the team and its business endeavors.

Rossman’s role is that of an influencer and strategist, providing information and shaping the perception and image of the Jacksonville Jaguars organization. With a stadium renovation project and other development and revitalization efforts underway, the Jacksonville Jaguars impact goes beyond the game of football.

“I’m responsible for developing and executing the organization’s strategy and messaging for all business operations,” Rossman said.

Her day-to-day efforts support message development and media response and outreach on behalf of the president’s office, sponsorship, ticketing, fan engagement, real estate development, community impact, and internal communications to promote programs, promotions, initiatives and innovations.

“There is no such thing as a typical day at work,” Rossman said.

Rossman engages in numerous initiatives including developing gameday messaging, creating PR plans for the Jaguars Foundation’s programs that strengthen youth, families and neighborhoods and meeting with partners and city government leaders regarding Downtown real estate projects through the Jaguars, and as well as development and design firm Shanna Collective.

“It’s rewarding to work on the Jaguars’ and Shanna Collective’s iconic projects that will positively impact and benefit the community for years to come,” Rossman said.

Rossman works in a dynamic, fast paced environment that requires effective communication skills across multiple platforms and the ability to multi-task and pivot without advanced notice. She collaborates with multiple audiences including employees and team leadership, fans, non-fans, business, community and government leaders and

the media. Rossman says it is important to build and maintain relationships and trust with all.

Rossman graduated from Appalachian State University with a bachelor’s degree in communications with a concentration in public relations. She began her career working in public relations and marketing in Washington, DC. In 2007, Rossman relocated to Jacksonville to serve as senior director of corporate communications at Visit Jacksonville.

“Jacksonville is one of the best places to live with excellent job opportunities and an outstanding quality of life,” said Rossman, who describes herself as Jacksonville’s biggest cheerleader. “When I moved here, I was able to participate in many young professional groups, which isn’t necessarily an opportunity replicated in other cities.”

Rossman’s career pathway has included positions as director of marketing and business development at St. Johns Town Center, director of global tourism marketing at Simon Property Group and working as a PR account supervisor at St. John & Partners. Prior to joining the Jaguars in August 2023, Rossman served as the vice president of marketing for JAXUSA Partnership.

“There are so many different areas you can pursue in a public relations career including corporate communications, public affairs, event development and execution, reputation management and media relations,” Rossman said.

Rossman credits her career success in part to the invaluable lessons she learned from mentors. Rossman believes mentorship can be instrumental to your professional growth and success.

“Connect with someone you trust who has your best interest at heart,” Rossman said. “A mentor can provide meaningful career advice, support and guidance.”
